We will be meeting at Big Trees to explore the higher elevation plant communities to see how our relationship with bigger plants changes. Please bring a journal, writing utensil, water, snack, and shoes to hike in. Because this is a protected site, we’ll be teaching how to find harvestable goods that have fallen from trees and other flora, rather than from the living parts, as that is illegal in the state parks.
